Hello everyone! I wanted to let you know you're web page is outstanding. I'm very jealous of all you lucky Maui cats, for I am stuck in chilly Wisconsin. Strangely, we have fabulous wreck diving here, so it's not too bad. Take a dive for me... PLEASE!

I just wanted to thank Renee, Kim, Byrd, Paul, and Billy for some great dives last week. Seeing a giant manta ray at Molokini was a dream come true. Snorkelling with spinner dolphins, a masked angelfish, saddleback butterfly, and all the usual wonderful little stuff you folks can always find! Thanks again for some great diving! Got some nice pictures. See you all again I'm sure -Sean

Greetings! My friends and I just returned from the best vacation we have ever had. We spent the first three days doing boat dives with you, and enjoyed every minute of it. The captains and dive masters were very knowledgeable, and lots of fun, too. I want to thank every one we met there, and especially Paul who was our DM most of the time. He kept us laughing, and showed us some of the most incredibly beautiful sea life I have ever seen. Plus he gave us the inside tip of where to go dancing, and we made the most of that as well. Thank you all, and happy holidays. Dianne

Ed and Sue: This is the first time I've had an opportunity to visit your web site. First thing I did was download your monk seal wallpaper and paste it on my computer screen. We wanted to thank you and your staff for the wonderful dives we had at Molokini in the crater and on the wall. We used your services during our 25th wedding anniversary visit to Maui. If Bill is still with you tell him "Hi" and did he get to the Channel Islands? I just finished up a annual (2)week live aboard fishing and diving trip to the Channel Island for lobster, scallops and such. Hope to see you guys again the next time we're on Maui. Aloha.

I WANT TO PERSONALLY THANK ED ROBINSON DIVING ADVENTURES AND YOUR ENTIRE CREW FOR MAKING OUR GROUP DIVE TRIP TO MAUI SO SUCCESSFUL. EVERYONE IN THE GROUP HAS ASKED ME TO PLAN ANOTHER DIVE TRIP TO HAWAII FOR THEM IN THE FUTURE. I KEEP GETTING POSITIVE COMMENTS ABOUT YOUR ENTIRE CREW AND TWO OF OUR DIVERS KEEP SAYING HOW IMPRESSED THEY ARE WITH PAUL. HE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE TO THEIR NEEDS AND WORKED VERY HARD TO MAKE SURE THAT MARTI SAW MARTY'S REEF. A SPECIAL THANKS TO RENEE FOR THE BUOYANCY CONTROL HELP AND A VERY VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO BYRD AND KIM FOR THEIR CONTINUOUS POSITIVE ATTITUDES AND FRIENDLINESS WITH EVERYONE ON BOARD THE BOATS. AL DID A GREAT JOB SHOWING US THE SPOTS ON THE BACK WALL, AND BILLY AGAIN DID ANOTHER GREAT JOB AT THE HELM AND UNDER THE WATER. OUR GROUP THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE TRIP TO LANAII AS WELL AS ALL THE SOUTH MAUI DIVE SPOTS WE GOT TO VISIT. THE GIANT MANTA AT MOLOKINI WAS BREATHTAKING. FYI - WHEN WE WENT TO KONA ON OUR FIRST DIVE WE WERE IN THE WATER 11 MINUTES AT DUSK WHEN A 20FT. HAMMERHEAD CAME STRAIGHT AT US. WOW! THE DIVE GUIDE BACKPEDDLED AND WAS RELIEVED........THANKS AGAIN FOR THE GREAT TIME "DOWN UNDER" DEE

I dove with you last year in August. I had a great time. I also dove with another dive tour during that same vacation. However, I really liked you much better. I had a lot of fun. I was also impressed with how your guides took that extra time to work with the divers on certain elements, i.e. bounancy, breathing, etc. Since, I have the opportunity to go to Maui again this year, I can't wait to dive with you again. Thanks for making my vacation so much fun.

Aloha to all. Here´s a real "chicken-skin" experience...Last week while diving on Marty´s Reef, we had the most incredible dolphin experience. Here´s what happened: Just minutes into the dive most of us are staring at an amazing 2" baby white angler fish when suddenly someone yanks on my fin and points to this giant bottlenose dolphin 10 ft away! I immediately start alerting the other divers with my new noise maker, and quite unexpectedly the dolphin also responds to this "duck-like" sound. He actually goes a bit wild, spinning, twisting, and whistling around me, responding to my every move and "quack", so close I can touch him, but holding back, concerned he won´t like it. Others join in and we dolphin-swim, twist, spiral, "quack", whistle, and just play really hard together for what feels like the longest time... We watch as he ZOOMS up through more descending divers, straight towards Kim and then flips out of the water, off the bow where Capt. Byrd stands watching in awe as this dolphin jumps above his head! He comes back down, engaging more divers, and even lets someone pet him before dashing up for another flip off the bow! It was so amazing - this Dolphin gift! I think we all reached new levels of joy and appreciation that day. What can I say, it was so intense and so incredible, and I really wish you all could have been there. Special thanks to Sandy, the fin tugger, and to Al Hudson for the "quacker".

I went on the Molokini dive with my girlfriend... Twice...My dive instructor reccomended Ed Robinson Dive Co. and it was a GREAT piece of advice! Captain Bird was a great boat driver, and Billy was probably the best dive master we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Make sure to ask for the back wall drift dive, it is truely stunning. We also dove 'reef's end' which was another spectacular drift dive. Billy was superb, he seemed to know every nook and cranny on the reef, and at times it seemed like the fish recognized him as well, coming out to say hi :) The white tip reef sharks were great, and the dives were 110% I _highly_ reccomend Ed Robinson's Dive Co. Our group was limited to about 5 divers each day, and the individual attention was key. Jim Bianco

WHAT CAN I SAY? IN JUNE, 1998 I BROUGHT MY BEST FRIEND TO MAUI FOR HIS FIRST OPEN WATER DIVES AFTER CERTIFICATION. HE WAS SOMEWHAT FEARFUL, BUT YOUR CREW WAS TERRIFIC WITH HIM AND SINCE WE HAVE BEEN HOME HE HAS BEEN DRIVING ME CRAZY WITH REQUESTS TO GO DIVING AGAIN. THE PHOTOS I TOOK UNDERWATER OF HIM HE CARRIES AROUND WITH HIM AND ASKS ANYONE WHO WILL TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK AT THEM. HE IS COMING BACK TO MAUI WITH ME IN OCTOBER AND OUR GROUP. HE CAN'T GET ENOUGH. HE WAS TELLING A STORY YESTERDAY ABOUT THE BACK WALL OF MOLOKINI AND THE MANTA RAYS HE SAW, ALONG WITH ALL THE SHARKS. YOU HAVE CONVINCED ANOTHER DIVER THAT MAUI IS THE PLACE CALLED HOME FOR SOME OF THE BEST DIVING IN THE WORLD. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

We just returned from two weeks of diving Maui, and we can't wait to get back to the backside of Molokini, the shark ledge, Pu'u Ola'i, and all the other great dives. The BEST part of diving with you guys was Glenn, Rene, Byrd, Kim, and Bill. Glenn and Rene were the best Divemasters we've ever seen. Chaz loved them, and we both learned a lot from them. Byrd was willing to answer all my questions about boats and motors, and Kim went out of her way to answer a question for me that most people would have just brushed off. The diving was great in Maui, but the people were the best. By the way, Rene, I've looked up Eddie Aikau's story. Thanks for the tip. It's a good story. And Glenn, Chaz has some kind of idea about pursuing Rescue Diver certification when he turns 15 in August and then maybe working on Divemaster. You don't know where he got that idea, do you? See you guys later.

Hello everybody at ERDA. Congratulations on the new Log Book feature of your web site. Now we're all going to have to keep coming back and checking for the latest postings. The highlight of my last trip to Maui would probably have to be the Giant Moray (Javinicus - I think). To see such a beautiful animal - by my guess 8 - 12 inches in diameter and plus or minus 6 feet long on the night dive will be something I'll always remember. I managed to get a couple of reasonable photos of it as well as half a roll of shots of the first frog fish that I found on my own without Rene pointing it out. Looking forward to visiting you again soon. Keep up the good work.

Is there any possibility of purchasing a color print or downloading a copy of any of the Bluegill photos---especially the aft torpedo tubes/props? I never got a photo of it when I was down there and I spent most of my limited time inspecting that end of the sub. Please let me know---Thanks.

Thanks for rekindling great memories of my Maui vacation and Bluegill dive from 1981. I never had any photos of the wreck until "surfing" today and finding your site. Thanks again---maybe I can get back there for some more great diving.

Hi Ed: As you well know, I am the "chicken" of all divers. Everytime I have dove Maui I am always impressed with the sights I see. FYI - When we come to Maui in October I very well may be certified by then, but remember, "Mum´s the word on this". Thank you and your terrific crews for their wonderful insight and patience with those of us that still don´t have gills.

Heard a interesting comment during a recent trip to the Malidives (Kuda Huraa Resort--fantastic). The couple from New York, like everyone else, was gushing about the dive we had just done: "You know, we've done all our diving in the Carribean. Beautiful soft coral and gorgonians, but we have never seen anything like your gorgeous hard corals, the reds, the greens. . ." What an intelligent comment!! In umpteen years of diving with you, I've gotten used to hearing (on their first dive of their first day), "Well, nothing can compare to Grand Cayman. . .blah, blah, blah." Having just returned from the Maldives, I suppose I should be raving about their hawksbills, sweetlips, emperors, etc., but instead find myself looking forward to my next trip to Maui in June. Goofy's cuter than the hawksbills, and I miss my obnoxious long-nose hawkfish in the black coral tree (Oh, the couple from New York wanted to know what those lush and luscious red bushy things were.) And I still haven't been anywhere that compares to Edge of the World (the dive guides in the Maldives think they have walls, but their walls are more like the gentle slope on the back side of Reef's End.) The point is not that Maui is "better" than Bali or the Maldives, or Cayman. They're all great. But no other place is Maui, and my couple from New York would love it.

Thanks Ed to you and your great crews for another winter of good diving. Let me recap this winter. After 22 years of diving with you, you provided these new attractions for me: several manta ray dives, a first sighting ever of a male Whitleyi boxfish (very rare in Hawaii). A 2nd sighting ever of a male Coris flavovittata wrasse (also rare), a first sighting ever of a female Genicanthus personatus (masked angelfish). The latter normally lives below 200 ft., obviously out of safe diving range, but your crews discovered one visiting 60 ft.at Molokini. Lots of good whale watching on the surface as always. I missed seeing them cruise by underwater as we did last year but I understand your crews had several encounters with other divers on board. Sigh, maybe I'll be lucky again next year. The only answer is to keep diving! Aloha, Nancy
