Hey guys: Thanks for another epic experience! We had a terrific time with you, as always. We loved the rays (BOTH the rays, John) and the shark-infested version of Molokini at twilight. You're all wonderful, especially Byrd and Kim. All our love, Laurie and Bob.

Thank you very much for a fantastic dive trip. I went diving with you in mid September on my honeymoon, and it was wonderful. Your crews and divemasters/divemistresses are professional, friendly, and helpful. I shot my first underwater video on one of your trips to Molokini and St. Anthony's wreck. Thanks to the expert guidance of the divemasters, I now have not only some incredible video to show my friends, but I have also blown up several frames of sharks and turtles and have them hanging in my office so I can remember the experience every single day. Your great reputation in the dive industry is well deserved.

I really enjoyed my dive at St.Anthony's wreck then Molikini. The staff were helful, and great at spotting well hidden wildlife. I especially enjoyed being able to dive to my level rather than the lowest level of the group. The divemaster gave the beginners hints to enable them to improve while allowing each dive to get the most out of the dive. Well Done.

We hit the "mother lode" several years ago when we first started diving with ER. Thought it could not get better, BUT, on sunday, Nov. 10th- we did the BEST DAY OF DIVING IN MAUI. Hawaii should place, Byrd/Kim/Amy/ on the national treasure list!!!!! ALL OF THE CREWS OF ED ROBINSON DIVING are consumate professionals; fun people, and patient, patient, patient. Thanks again for the opportunity for the "ole desert broads" to still enjoy!!!!! Mahalo Nui Loa, A-hui-ho , Sandy and Ann

Amazing!!! Thank you so much for making my 30th divetrip one of the best divetrips ever. Everything you promised on your website was true, small groups, diverse dive sites, and lots of flexibility. You actually let your divers pick the site! (Thank you Byrd for showing me lots of fish and turtles). After my "dive accident" I was a little scared to dive again, but your team (Scott and Al)were very patient and professional and it was a very relaxed dive.I also loved the fact that you talk about (and showed pix) of the animals we would see, or what to look for, that made the dive so much more interesting. Great job, I would recommend you to everyone who would like to make their dive a memorable one. Mahalo.

John, Ok, you were right and I was wrong. Sadly, I ignored your advice and it took 6 years and 67 dives with Ed Robinson to finally do your Sunset dive trip. Absolutely fantastic! Seeing the Moon from 80ft underwater was a sight I wont soon forget. You and your coworkers continue to be the best outfit in Maui by far and every trip seems like we are returning to the hospitality of old friends. Thank you! Mark: Congratulations on your wedding (we beat you by 11 days). Roberto: Janine loves the Spanish Dancer. See you next year (or hopefully sooner!) – Chris & Janine

Dear Ed and crew, After my return to Europe I would like to express my highest appreciation for your careful service I could experience during one week in Maui. Reading the previous comments it seems to be difficult to add something new. Just let me say that the time with you were my best dive trips ever - perfection in organisation and experience. Just stay as you are. Definitively I will come back!

Hi to the crew of ERDA! A big Mahalo to everyone for making my dive trip spectacular! I especially enjoyed the crew, you guys clearly enjoy your work, it shows in your enthusiasm and expertise. Kym was a wonderful guide, finding all sorts of critters and making sure everyone got to see them. Byrd was an awesome captain! Amy was great at giving the dive briefings, what knowledge she posesses! Mark was the ever cordial host and Greg's sense of humor made the trip lots of fun! Of course there's John, Al, & Ricardo, I could go on and on about you guys but let's just say that I thoroughly enjoyed all of the diving and can't wait to do it again! Terri from VA Beach, VA

Dear Ed Robinson's Diving Adventures, I finally got the chance to dive off the coast of Maui, and I wanted to thank the crew for giving us such great time. John was an excellent divemaster, and really took us to some good spots.Swimming with the reef sharks and seeing an octopus were the highlights. When I return, I will be chartering again with your crew. Until then, Aloha and Mahalo!!

I had a great mornings worth of diving last saturday with Byrd and Kym and everyone else(sorry bad with names). It was my most enjoyable dives for ages. Seeing all sorts of really cool stuff like parasites on fish, harlequin shrimp, frog fish and of course the manta. It seems difficult to find a guide who can find things that I find cool and so I was blown away with the fact that all the guides and captain on this boat had lots to offer. Thank you very much for your great enthusiasm and I would love to take you all diving again someday. Well done.

Patti and I got certified in June and spent our honeymoon (the first week of July) with the ER gang (Mark, Byrd, Kim, Al, Ricardo and John) and completed 6 dives in 4 days, including Lanai and the night dive on the 4th of July! Amazing would be understatement. Our instructor said you were the best and we agree. Your attention to detail, instruction, and knowledge is awesome and helpful. Patti and I loved and appreciated the personal attention Mark provided (we dove with Mark 4 times) in deciding where to go and what WE wanted to see and do. Even that land shark John (amd the ER crew knows what I am talking about!!!) was attentive to Patti's critique of his driving skills compared to the smooth ride of Captain Byrd!!! You guys (and ladies) are in a class of your own and we look forward to diving with you as we celebrate our anniversary in June 2003!!!

Thanks for the new newsletter. Nothing like a nice note from ERDA to remind me of what I am missing. I dove w/Kim & Byrd the last week Feb/1st week of March of 2001 and it was FANTASTIC, esp the grays, white tips & nite dives. I spent one week w/ERDA and one day w/Severns and I'll return to ERDA. I recommend ERDA to other divers all the time. Kim is the best creature finder--- esp. with octopus. And Byrd's sense of humor, esp in the wee morning hours, is wonderful. Arrgh-- I wish I there now... but I guess the newsletter will keep me in the loop and wanting to return... soon.

We spent 5 wonderful days diving with ERDA in late May-early June. We had an awesome time! The underwater life was phenomenal, but would not have been quite so good without the help of our guides. Their pre trip briefings and then their amazing ability to find almost all of the creatures under water, and on top of that we were always entertained in the boat! Byrd, Kim, John, Mark, Greg and Amy were all an important part of our spectacular trip, and I can assure you that we will be back. Thank you for showing us what Maui diving has to offer, Nicola and Chad Wright

Many thanks to the Lanai dive team last week, Kim, Mark and Byrd and to The Sunset/ Night Dive team of John, Scott, Ricardo and Byrd. Also thanks to Jennifer who helped me set up my diving reservations and advised me on what dives I might enjoy most. You all lived up to your billing. Rodale's Scuba Diving's #1 dive operator recognition is well deserved. The level of service and attention to detail is like no other operation that I have experienced and I think I have been with some very good ones. Some people in our area have told me that people who think Hawaii diving is great have obviously never been to Cozumel. I am here to debunk that line of thinking. There are so many species and subspecies to see and experience in your waters that can be seen nowhere else that it makes your area a must see dive trip. The "naturalists" pre dive talk with books and pictures and your inquiries of what we customers would like to see and accomplish is so logical for a service business like yours, but is often overlooked by the guides. Rain slickers and hot chocolate at the appropriate times are much appreciated. That is unfortunate, but you show a standard by which other companies could choose to measure their own customer service. I hope I will have the opportunity to dive with you again.

The diving I did w/ u guys was the best I've ever done (which isn't much) I'm still a new diver and learning many things but thanks to Greg and our Captain John...both helped me out w/ new breathing tecniques so I wouldn't run out so early like I did on the first dive of the day. They really helped! I just wish I had gotten to do more then one day of diving with you guys...but I was forced into snorkleing w/ the family at Molokini crater again...it stunnk! But hey...after SCUBA diving with u guys...nothing else compares! Thanks again for the great time! Special thanks to Greg for having patience with me and helping me out! Thanks man!

Warmest "Thank you" and virtual hugs to the ERDA folks who made my dives on July 6,7 & 9 the best experience. Yes, the dive sites are fine but it is the crew that makes the day unforgetable. Amy, Greg, Byrd, & Mark are outstanding people whose knowledge, enthusiasm, & attention to every diver's needs are rare. With about 30 dives in my log, I looked for some extra TLC and found it in quantity from Amy and Greg. Diving with them was exhilarating. The naturalist briefings pre-dive and the interest in debriefings post dive heightened the experience for me. The way all the ERDA people related to me with generousity of spirit I will never forget.

Just got back from Maui and felt it necessary to let you know what a wonderful crew you have. I had the fortune to ride with Captains Byrd, Mark and Bill and dive with Masters Gregg, Ricardo and Abe. All were wonderful and made the experience truely rememberable. Ask Abe about the poppy seed muffin experience! Abe was there when I needed him! I will be back again in May and my visit to Maui would not be the same without another diving experience with your crew. Your formula for bringing together a crew who clearly knows the meaning of hospitality is exceptional. Thanks again. John Greenlee

Thanks for the great diving while we were on Maui in May. I have not had a better experience with a dive crew; all were very helpful, informative, funny and personal. The dives to Molikini were everything I'd heard and our dive at Molakai was something I'll probably never have the chance to experience again. Our contact with Liz in the gathering info and reservation stages to spending four days with your crews was exceptional. Byrd, Kim, Bill, John and my personal favorite Greg made this second trip to Maui an unforgettable one. I will pass this recommendation along to future Maui dive visitors that I come in contact with. Thanks ERDA. Couldn't have asked for more. Bill White

I just went diving with Ed Robinson's Diving Adventures in Maui on June 2nd. I want to commend John and Mark for being the best dive masters that I have ever had guide my one of my dives. I am always looking for guides that are interested in the divers desires, are easy to talk to, are informative, and that are entertaining. I had NEVER found all this in a dive group until I made the dive with Ed Robinson's Diving Adventures on June 2nd. John and Mark where straight forward and honest about what we could expect on each dive. The only thing that I regret is not having more time to dive with them. Unfortunately, I do not get to come to Hawaii on a regular basis, but you can bet that when I make it back to Maui that I will dive exclusively with your company. Thank you for the wonderful experience! Sincerely, Heath Hudspeth

Just back from a week on Maui and our second time diving with ERDA. We had a great time and will return to Maui again just to dive with you guys! As usual, the crew was great. Did the Lanai trip and the night dive - they were both awesome! Special thanks for Mark for helping me get under the water after the sun went down - after taking a two year break from diving I was a bit uneasy about the night dive, but he was a great help in getting me to the bottom. If you haven't done this dive with ERDV, you should check it out! Aloha!

Just completed a 3-Tank dive with Byrd, Amy, and Kim - WOW!!!! Great people and great diving. Being new to the ocean (I usually dive the mudpuddles in OK and TX)they were very helpful. We saw a tremendous amount of interesting stuff! I would definately recommend ERDA to anyone going to Maui - and you bet next time I'm there, I'll be ready to dive!

I just had the good fortune to complete the 3 tank Dive Adventure with ERDA on 4/7/02. This was my first dive since major back surgery on 12/18/01. My orthopod (who coincidentally left for his own ER dive adventure a few days post surgery) assured me I'd be fine. He suggested that I be cautious and tell them of my need for "special handling" when entering and exiting the water. While my exits entries could only be accompolished by a Giant Step, I didn't have to climb the ladder with my BC. What my doc didn't completely convey to me was that anyone else's "special handling" is what ERDA does on a routine basis. I've never been on a dive boat where I wasn't tripping over masks, snorkels, fins and wet suits. Someone who has a (beneficial) touch of compulsivity decided that a good dive experience would include a custom boat and unique dive crew that should not only be enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable, unselfish in sharing their knowledge, and very personable; but they should also be highly organized and thoughtful. I arrived at the landing with rain pelting down unprepared for precipitation (hey, I'm on vacation in Hawaii!). I was greeted with the beaming face of Amy who said, "You're diving with me. Do you want a rain coat?" Ah, warmth, both physical and emotional. That was the beginning of the most memorable dive experience I've ever had. Of course, the overpopulation (grin) of the shark condos and the identification of numerous 'rare' species didn't hurt either! I most enthusiatically suggest that if you want a great and unparalleled dive experience, you will find it here.

I want to thank ERDA for being who you are. I just did 2 dives while in Maui (4/2/02) but wish I could have done more. Greg , Bill , and Al were great. I really appreciated all of the great service. Really you don't get that anywhere else. Also they were very informative about what to expect to see on each dive. They were extremely courteous, and it was great that they took time to let us observe dolphins up close on the way back into port. I will most certainly recommend ERDA to anyone coming to Maui.

I had the good fortunte to dive with Ed Robinson's two years ago while on a corporate trip and had the best expereince that I have ever had diving. I had even better fortune to dive with the group again just a few weeks ago. First, I was treated as an old friend by Billy when he recognized me from two years prior. As usual, Byrd, Kim, Fish, Greg and Amy were knowlwedgable, friendly, helpful, and basically, simply incredible. I am planning to return to Maui again next year to dive with ER and enjoy the paradise. Thanks to you all for a great time!

Just returned from a trip to Maui that included snorkel lessons from Suzzy Robinson. I can't say enough good things about her course. I am a 54 year old novice that was ready to quit after a terrible first attempt on my own. Suzzy's thorough approach to the sport turned me around. I can't wait for my next trip. My wife and daughters have all taken this course and loved it. Thanks Suzzy!

I am a local pro diver working with another dive shop on maui, and just thought I would surf the info on your web site. I have learned allot from just researching your web site. Though I would like more info about that 190ft narcalistic plane dive you talk about. sounds great. I wish our dive shops web site was as cool as yours. My only complaint is: that I had to read about a complaint from some guy by the name of Paul who probably didn't get laid while he was in Maui. Paul from: Burlinton, ND USA, dude take a chill man, stop assuming (ass out of me and u) about why the capt wont go to places where you want him to go. Remember boss, you can drive out to La parouse any time you want and dive. Of course you won't have the prof. saftey, because it sounds to me that your a non roll model diver. At least with ed rob. They worry about getting you back alive, and you still complain. Safty is a key issue around any dive site. So if your a prof instructor and you think you can do a better job. Sell the wife and kids and come on over and put your money where your mouth is. Sincerley a local diver not affiliated with Ed Robinson. (Though I do have to deal with the occasional non aloha tourist) To all tourists: Afta Sept 11, the only thing we should be complaining about is how we need to show more love to one another. Paul, I am sorry if I hurt your fealings. Forget about it, be educated, learn and use for future reference. Aloha------oy.

Iam looking forward to returning to Maui in a couple of days for a few weeks of fun in the sun. I did three of your adventure trips on the 8th,10th&12th of March. This was my second trip diving with you in 4 years. I enjoyed it very much, the divemasters where great espcially Amy. My one complaint is your boat crews reluctance to go south. On the 12th I requested we go to Laparouse area as it was a very calm day. The captain asked Blue water rafting how it was the day before he said a little choppy yesterday so we didnt go. Laparouse was mentioned again for a second dive captian radios Blue Water reply a little bump we dont go. Back on the ramp your captian says probably two to three foot seas down south I reply thats not bad we get rougher seas than that on our lakes backhome. I am then informed that I can charter the boat for $1200.00 a day if I want to go to Laparouse hum! Also I didnt appreciate the captain and divemaster whispering about dive site selection the other divemaster even called them on it. My last impression after 9 dives with you would be that Maui dosen't offer much dive site selction and thats not so. Im left beleiving your boat crews like to stay as close to the ramp as possible.

Dove on the Sea Spirit with Cap't Billy, Greg and Amy on 2-19-02. Had 3 great dives and really appreciated the opportunity to see the Kanaio Coast. Greg was wonderful at pointing out critters (frogfish, Devil Scorpionfish, etc)and archeological relics (anchors, etc) that we never would have seen on our own. He watched over us but allowed us ample time and air to enjoy the dive. There was never any sense of time urgency. The pre-dive briefings by all 3 crew were excellent and we had a great time. The full 7mm suits and towel service were the best! Best wishes to Amy and Greg on their forthcoming nuptuals. Inspired us to get married the next day! Paul and Donna Lima
