Just returned from Maui and had to comment on our dives. My husband and I have been on diving trips all over the world and were afraid we might be disappointed. We dove with Kim on Molokini Backwall and it was a great dive and very relaxing. A manta ray swam with us for about 5 minutes, saw a school of sharks, lobster, octopus and harlequin shrimp. The next dive we did a swim through and Kim was constantly pointing out wonderful things to see. I love sharks and swim throughs so I was extremely pleased with the dives. Can't wait to dive with Kim next year.

Excellent diving trip, excellent crew, and excellent cottage!! :-) The last dive for me was just amazing.(~0~) What a beautiful monk seal we could play with!! Well, I can't wait to tell everyone about this story. They must be jealous.... Thank you all your support, now I know where to stay to escape from busy days.

Ed: Thanks again for making our recent Maui dive vacation another incredible experience. Your people are extraordinary and provided us with the best experience, information, hospitality and professionalism of any of the dive operators we have dived with during our nine trips to Hawaii. Kudos to you and you staff for your superb operation. We'll be back!

We would like to thank your fabulous staff for two great days of diving. Fish, Byrd, Billy, Ricardo, Dan, and Kim were the best crew we've had the pleasure to dive with (tell Dan he needs some new jokes!) When one couple on the boat requested to see turtles, the staff put us on turtles. When Chris requested to see sharks, they took us to them. The service we received on the boat was curteous, helpful, informative, and most important of all fun (and the snacks were good too)! The dive guides made sure that each diver saw as much sea life as possible. Unfortunately I had to miss the second day, but Chris came back raving about the drift dive on one side of Molokini. I don't want to forget to mention our thanks to Evelyn for letting us know that Chris left his watch behind. We are so happy we decided to dive with your crew during our stay in Maui, we will absolutely recommend your dive operation to as many divers as possible. Thanks again for making our dives in Maui a memorable experience.

Ed, Your diving operation and staff will be the standard I set other operations to achieve. Amy, John, Fish, Dan, and Bird are excellent guides. I saw everything I wanted and more. They are professional, observant, and most of all fun. I was so pleased after diving for three days with them, I added a fourth because my wife wanted to join in on the fun. I would like to point out that Amy knew I had dove in the same spot on a previous dive. She was concerned about this and made an effort to accommodate me specifically in the dive plan. For this attention and many more reasons is why I will only continue to do my Maui diving with Ed Robinson's Diving Adventures. One more note. Your office staff is top notch. Good job Beth and Evelyn. Michael R. Gorman Clark "Be a SAFE Diver"

We did some GREAT dives under the direction of Carrie, Bill, Fish and Kim. We've dived all over the Carribean as well as California and have not had a better experience in all of our years of diving. The crew made every dive special and treated divers as adults. I can't think of any operation we have ever dived with that was more professional, personable and knowledgeable (especially Carrie).

Donald and I had the pleasure of diving with Billy, Kim and Belinda on Sunday the 10th of August, 2000 and with Byrd, John and Billy on Monday the 11th. We have had the pleasure of diving in the Cayman's, the Florida Keys and even in Puket, Thailand. However, nothing can compare to the service, dive site selections, quality of the breifings, and pure enjoyment we experieinced with your team. We dove the 85 food Pinnicle (Hawaian Reef), Pinnicle Point, the Wall @ Molokini and Reef's End @ Molokini. All were fantastic experiences, with the diving made comfortable for all. I would highly recommend our Monday experience with one dive guide per four divers. What a treat!!! You made sure you understood everyone's experience and desires - and more than made them real! Thanks for being so thoughtful about not ending the dive when the first person runs low on air. We can't tell you how frustrated we have been coming up with 1500lbs of air left! If your surfing the net, and are planning a dive trip - your done! Let Ed's team show you how its done!! Please do email me if you'd like more information!

It was through the referral of Paul Warren and Willie Ward, owners of Hualalai Water Sports in Kona, that I contacted you for a Maui dive experience. I owe you both big time! In the three days I spent with you all... Belinda, Byrd, Kim, John, & Amy... you all proved yourselves to be consummate pros. You treated us all like royalty and appeared to enjoy having us on the boat. My itinerary didn't allow me to make the Wednesday trip to Lanai, so I was forced to book with another company for a Tuesday trip. What a disaster! Reservations that I'd confirmed, reconfirmed, and triple confirmed were messed up. I was sent to Maalea, then to Kihei, then back to Maalea.. they didn't even know where their own boat was going to be. As a final insult, we finally left the harbor and the boat died within minutes. Where there boat should be is along side "St. Anthony". Suffice it to say that [***] sucks your bilge water. Rest assured that you guys get "two snorkels up" in my log book. I'll be back next August and will tell any who'll listen what a first class experience it is to dive Maui with Ed Robinsons crew. Thanks a million!

Sorry for the belated comments...! My 16 year-old son and I dived with you at the end of April, and boy did we enjoy ourselves...! The last dive day in particular was nothing short of spectacular when my son spotted a large manta ray. We saw sharks, frogfish, eels, lobster, turtles, all kinds of stuff...!! We've dived in many places, and Molokini ranks way up there with the best. Especially haunting is the memory of singing whales...! Thanks to Carrie, Kim, Byrd, (and all the others) who made our dives enjoyable. When we return to Maui, it's going to be Ed Robinson again...! Just make sure you get stickers and posters so we and other satisfied customers can drum up some business for you. Aloha and Mahalo a nui loa...! ,

Well we are back in the real world after two wonderful weeks in Maui 5/27-6/10 2000. I can't say that I'm too happy about this. We got off the plane in Seattle last night to guess what, Rain. My wife Amy and I would like to thank Ed Robinson's diving and specifically Billy, Byrd, John, Amy and Kim and Beth in the office for helping make this a wonderful and very memorable vacation. You all came together to make us feel welcomed and safe during our three days of diving. Byrd, John and Kim; you guys really came through for us on the critter call. Sharks, Rays and MANTAS all on the same day as well as more rare and unusual fish than I could possibly remember. Your individual and collective knowledge of the fish life and the islands themselves was invaluable to us. The pre dive briefings were great, it really prepared us with what to watch and look for. I can't be anymore pleased with our experience with you all! Again THANKS to ALL for such a great time. P. S. John I still owe you that beer for finding my camera! I guess we will just have to come back soon.

Well, David and I have finally settled in enough to have time to write (and become depressed because you are there and we are back at the salt mines). Our dives with you were absolutely the BEST!! Thanks for taking all the time to make us feel comfortable--no boot camp atmosphere of "Here's the site, get overboard and be back in 40 minutes." And thanks for giving us the wonderful education on what we were seeing. Brendan, Dan, Terri, Al, Roger, and Carrie (sorry if we left anyone out) were terrific to dive with and we hope their fingers are not permanentally twisted from all the rare things we saw. We have been singing your praises to all who will listen. Thanks for the memories and gold stars out of petty cash to all!!

Ed, you have a very well-done web site! I came across this as I was looking for a picture of a scuba diver for a video I am working on. The video is for patients with Osteonecrosis of the Hip. In the script we say that scuba divers who have accidents in severe barotrauma may devlop this disease. I just need one or two pictures of people underwater, diving. Would I be able to get your permission to use the picture where you have several divers? I would give you and your company a credit at the end of the video, which will be used in orthopedic clinics all over the U.S. Please let me know if this is agreeable to you. Sincerely, Margie Swanson, Producer EclipseImagery@aol.com

To Ed Robinson’s Diving Adventures 4/21/00 I just had to write to say how much I enjoyed my dive time on Maui with all of you. Captain Byrd handles the Sea Spirit and Sea Diver II with such precision and expertise that one might think that they are actually part of him. What a great job he does driving the boats. Diving with you over a course of time, I had the immense pleasure of being guided about the reefs by "Dive Guides" John, Brendon, and of course, "WILD" Billy Finch. Having over 150 guided dives; (2/3rds of which are in Maui waters), I can honestly say that there are none better. Their knowledge of the reef and it’s inhabitants is amazing. Their skill at finding the rare and uncommon species from Frogfish to Harlequin Shrimp and Psychedelic Wrasse to Dragon Morays is absolutely mind-boggling .... especially Bill. Over the years, he has pionted things out to me that I never would have seen on my own. Besides the "usual rarities", ( frogfish, vipper eels, harlequin shrimp and the like), this trip Billy was able to conjure up a Blue-stripped Pipefish, a Pom Pom Crab, a Fire Dartfish, and a real live Saddleback Butterfiyfish. How he spots them, I’ll never know........ but the man’s my idol. He’s one super "Dive Guide"! I can’t say enough about Ed Robinson’s Diving Adventures and how much I appreciate everyone’s professionalism, smiling faces, and fun loving ways. You all helped to make my vacation on Maui the best I ever had. Thank you so much. I’m look forward to diving with all of you the next time I get to the Valley Isle. You’re one "Class Act"! I am writing you to compliment your operation. I signed up for your premier 3 tank dive for 3/21/00. The staff was excellent and the briefings were the best I have ever had. I especially enjoyed the chance to see frog fishes twice! I have dived with many operations in Hawaii, Cozumel, Belize, Cayman, and Honduras and you are the best. I will highly recommend you to all of my diving friends. Thanks for a wonderful time and I look forward to diving with you again. Next time I need you to show me sea horses....I have never seen one!

I just returned home from 6 days on Maui and wanted to say thanks to AL, Fish, Billy, Byrd and Kim for 2 of the greatest days of diving I have done all year. I have been diving with many other operations on Maui in the past and no other dive shop or operation on the island can even come close. You can look to see me again on every trip I make back to Maui!!! Thanks again, I'll see you guys in June on the way back from Truk.

A quick 'thanks' to John, Dan, Billy, Fish & Mark for some great diving a week or so ago. You guys continue to be the greatest at what you do. The new Sea Spirit is a great boat and I'm a real fan of the 3-tank outings. Would have done more but Sunday was my flying day this year. Hope to see you all again next year. Ann.

I have just returned from my third trip to Mauii in the past five years. I again dived with Ed Robinson Adventures and found their service to be first rate. Without a doubt they provide the best service on Mauii-great pre-dive briefings, and most important-excellent dives. I did my first night dive at Martys reef and can say that it was one of the best dives that I've had in the past 15 years. Thanks to crew and especially Billy and Al who made the dives interesting and varied. When I come back to Mauii in the next couple of years I will again dive only with Ed Robinson. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and for the keeping the dives informative and fun. Thanks again.

Just got back from 6 days of diving with Byrd, Kim, Al and John, and have to say that over 14 dives, all were different ! Very well done for a commercial boat op. Love the way you try to please the client rather than telling us where we're going to go. Great briefing, great wildlife sightings (although John failed to get me a humpback or a manta for my log book- that must be a ploy to get me to come back). Thanks for some of the best diving I have done.

Just wanted to say thanks for a really outstanding bunch of dives with the Ed Robinson staff! John's Nature 101 talks were terrific for getting us familiar with the local species --his informative and fun briefings really enhanced the dives -- and John, Mark, and Dan all were absolutely patient, eagle-eyed guides: they managed to find frogfish, flame darts (?), rare fish and interesting behavior (jacks hunting with reef sharks) I never would have seen. As a lighter breather, I also appreciate their hanging out until the last diver is through with his tank instead of sending everyone up when the first diver's done. And I'm still trying to figure out how you kept getting all the whales to come hang out by us? Must be Cap'n Byrd's secret. That was amazing, guys. Great job all 'round; I can't wait to dive with you again.

Thanks to Byrd, Dan, Al and John for such a great diving experience! My dad, brother and I had the best dive trip ever, thanks to ERDA. Your professionalism and knowledge is unparalleled. The pre-dive briefings were key. We recommend diving with Ed Robinsons to everyone! Lanai's cathedrals were astonishing and Enenui's shark condos were exciting. But the turtles were my favorite! Special thanks to John--your patience and attention to detail made the dives unbelievable and your enthusiasm made the trip so memorable. I can't wait to come back to Maui! Mahalo.

My son and I went on the Ed Robinsons twilight and Night adventure and I have never been on a friendlier, capable, and knowlegable operation. The most differentiating thing with Byrd and his crew is the respect the show to the guests and thier appreciation of the skill levels of the guests. This is one of the first tours that I didn't feel the need to smile politley while a crew member went over basic OW practices -- the crew started with the assumption we all had a good idea of what we were doing (this is a first in 32 years !) The dives were facinating, with more chances to observe the environment and its' creatures than usuall. I will be back in two weeks with my younger son and We will either opt for the 3 tank or the Lanai adventure...Great job, We'll be steady customers

I have been diving for many years and have gone with countless dive companies. Ed Robinson's trip ranks at the top. The first dive was on the backside of Molokini and with the whales singing in the background it was nearly spiritual. The second dive at Pu'u Olai'i was equally enjoyable. Kim, Byrd and Fish were informative, attentive and knowledgable while letting everyone do their own thing. The best of Maui.
